My daughter doesn’t like to be set down. She always likes to be carried. So as soon as I put her down in her bassinet, she starts crying. Once I turn on the CD for her, she calms down and sometimes even starts to fall asleep. I definitely recommend this CD…

Many local discount stores didn’t carry them and I wasn’t willing to spend a ton of money on this. After looking online for white noise machines, many reviews were discouraging. Only two settings, not a pleasant sound, stopped working. I found this CD and it was perfect. I bought a $20 boombox with a repeat feature and set it up every night on the one that my kids like best (fan). I can adjust the volume to the right level (which happens to be different for each of my kids). So if you are contemplating getting a white noise machine to create background noise for your baby (or anyone), go with a CD boombox and this CD.

This CD worked wonderfully for helping our baby to sleep better. I like the variety of tracks because it let me experiment to see which sounds worked best for our child. I usually choose one track and then let it repeat for the whole nap/night. The tracks are 10 min. long and fade in/out so that the transition from track to track or from repeat to repeat does not disturb the baby. The tracks are well-chosen sounds: vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, hair dryer, running water, clothes dryer, electric fan, and white noise (the white noise track is 15 min. long).
