Managing Stress Naturally with Relaxation Therapy

De-Stressing For Better Sleep | By: admin

Today few people can say they are immune to the effects of stress. For most of us, life seems to become busier and more hectic with each passing year. Stress reduction is critical in maintaining good health; however, it is unrealistic to believe that anyone can live completely stress-free. Instead, a more realistic goal would be to eliminate the stress you can and learn effective coping skills to manage that which remains. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through Relaxation Therapy.

Relaxation Therapy is a group of simple, natural techniques that relax the body while teaching it to deal more effectively with stress. These include deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, guided imagery and music therapy to name a few. To be most effective, Relaxation Therapy should be practiced on a regular basis. With practice, the body learns to relax faster and easier and the benefits to your health and morale become evident and long-lasting.

Relaxation Therapy has these significant health benefits:

Relieves muscle tension & anxiety Decreases blood pressure Slows & regulates heart rate Reduces insomnia & fatigue by producing deeper, sounder sleep Reduces stomach problems by aiding in proper digestion Increases focus, memory, concentration, self-confidence & self-esteem Promotes more energy & productivity Helps keep the immune system healthy Improves overall feelings of happiness & wellbeing

Because Relaxation Therapy promotes wellness and healing, it is a great complimentary therapy for those recovering from injury or illness. In fact, for this purpose guided imagery is now being practiced in hospitals throughout the United States.

I am excited to offer women a natural and highly effective stress management alternative through my individual Relaxation Therapy sessions. There is no pain whatsoever involved and my sessions are perfect for those who may have felt intimidated by the thought of meditation in the past. These fun, easy and fully-guided sessions last approximately one-hour.

Similar to massage therapy, they are great for pampering as well as stress reduction.  I use a unique combination of techniques to gently relax the body, calm the mind and soothe the spirit for a truly holistic approach to stress management. Self-care counseling and wellness coaching are also included to provide clients with additional motivation and guidance on essential self-care strategies such as positive thinking and self-nurturing.

Currently, we are offering a 2009 Summer Special rate of $50 per session. The recommended initial course is once per week for 8 weeks with introductory and ongoing weekly sessions also available.
